Round about 2,300,000 yen will be awarded in the 1st year and 1,800,000 yen in the 2nd year, covering the following:

  Duration of Grant:

• Master’s Degree: 2 years
• Professional Degree (Accounting and Public Policy): Two-years

2. Please note that: Before sending your application, please contact with your potential supervisor about your research topic and your project.
3. Candidates are advised to obtain a recommendation letter from their potential supervisor.
4. Academic texts. Bachelors Degree and Masters degree program transcripts must be submitted to apply for the Ph.D. Degree.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must meet the following criteria when they applying for the Hokkaido University Fellowship:

1. Candidates who are already students at Hokkaido University are not allowed to apply for this fellowship.
2. Applicants must be self-certified when they enrolled at Hokkaido University, and they must not be in receipt of any scholarships or fellowships.
3. Top 25% students in the home university category are encouraged to apply for this scholarship, and candidates must have provided evidence signed by the rector of that university.
